I have done a few things to minimise battery usage, like turn off tilt, use a the shorter backlight timing, turn off vibrate, and I only have sounds on for the alarm. To get an update of the power reserve you turn the crown to diplay 'battery' and then press the top pusher to update the percentage of battery remaining. B-1 backlight not functioning. My B1 has all functions working other than the backlight (no EOL indicator flashing). What I have noticed is that when the crown is depressed the seconds hand stops at it should and then restarts and makes up the time also as it should. Take a look through the search function and you will find a huge number of B50 issues - including some you probably haven't experienced yet. I would take it back given the problems with this model. After reading this forum and other related B50 posts I think I'll send mine in for repair. My brand new Breitling Professional Cockpit B50 was waiting there for me. I have had my B50 (blue face, blue DIII strap) for about a month (also my first Breitling). Not many user impressions of the B50 on the board, so I thought I would post mine: *I wish the watch was bigger than 46mm. I am used to wearing 48mm Luminox mechanical complication and quartz watches.The Cockpit B50 also includes a backlight function, enabling clear visibility in low-light conditions. Its scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial from damage, maintaining its aesthetic appeal over time.

After some advice any one had a b1 where the back light just stopped working. I've had no 2 seconds jumps or battery indicator show. Is it high chance the battery is coming to the end of its life?
