You can't beat an older Datejust for Value. While most of the newer watches tend to end up in safes , even some tool watches, to preserve their value. An older Datejust will take some stick. I have bought 2 in 3 months and they get plenty of wrist time. Actually currently, the best preowned value for the shorter term is the Daytona Rolex Rainbow gemsets in multiple variants. Very limited in number already. So, can actually be considered an "investment". The first of its kind and possibly piece unique 16599 rainbow is coming to market in November. It is expected to set the market for gemset .
