I grabbed samples of each of them for my upcoming reviews on these perfumes, but wanted to first do a comparison post. The YSL Libre is less intense in colour than the Intense. As such, the Libre’s consistency gives it a soapy, slightly musky, and distinct creaminess to its scent. The YSL Libre Intense is richer, with an initial sweeter flavour and less of the lavender and musk soapiness that the original has.
Libre Le Parfum is my favorite. I really like the honey note and the balance in that one. I had samples of Libre and Libre Le Parfum and then a travel spray of Libre Intense. I haven't tried the edt, but I tend to like strong perfumes. Intense was my least favorite of the three. Yves Saint Laurent Libre Eau de Parfum Intense is a fragrance that’s all about balance – it’s bold but not brash, warm but not cloying, and intense but not overpowering. It’s a scent that encourages you to embrace your freedom, to live life with passion and intensity. It's one of the few designer releases of the last few years that I've genuinely enjoyed. It's not quite as sweet as, say, Mon Guerlain, but it combined vanilla and lavender effectively and has a refreshing sweetness about it. YSL Libre is. okay, but nothing special. Libre Intense is much better.
